About Anne Godfrey
Anne trained with Equitherm at the beginning of 2015. Anne showed a natural flair for thermography from the start and combined with her degree in Animal science she is proving to be an excellent technician. "I am very excited to have Anne join our Licensee team and look forward to working with Anne further on research projects as well as scanning for prevention and monitoring. Anne has excelled in her training as well as producing some of the most consistent case studies every produced during training." Sandie Chambers, Director.
Anne has had a lifelong passion for animals, inspiring her to study Animal Science at Edinburgh University. Following graduation, she worked at Edinburgh Zoo for a number of years, co-ordinating the inter-zoo transfer of all animals throughout the world and maintaining detailed animal records for the collection.
Anne’s passion for horses began following her first pony ride as a child. Anne finally achieved her dream of owning a horse at the age of 24, with the purchase of Ziggy, a young Arab gelding. Ziggy is now retired and Anne is focusing on bringing on her young gelding, Ted.
After several years using her project co-ordination skills in the property and financial services sectors, Anne sought a lifestyle change, focusing on her love of horses. She has since sought to expand her business interests into the field of animal infra-red thermography, and has a particular interest in the potential application of thermography in research.
Anne believes that the use of this innovative technology can bring wide benefits to horse and owner, particularly as a preventative and monitoring tool.
